Ok, raise your hands if you ever went looking for a big, empty, snow-filled parking lot to do donuts and “Scandinavian flicks” and TV commercial-grade handbrake slides and other lurid roostertails-and-sideways moments.

That’s what we thought... everybody loves doing that!

In fact, we’re pretty sure that the Rules of Car Guy/Gal-ness require powersliding your car on snow and ice sometime in your life...

But instead of doing it in a parking lot -- where you not only have to ignore the nasty glares of freaked-out PTA mothers in their Volvo X70s, but you gotta stay out of sight of the Fun Police -- the Lime Rock Drivers Club has it set-up for you to get all cattywampus on the Autocross and Skid Pad!

It’s huge fun, of course, but we’ll also teach you how to command low-traction conditions so you can worry less about putting your car in the fence on the way to the office on those snowy, icy New England days...

So, with apologies to ESPN’s Winter X Games, get ready for Lime Rock Winter "No-wreX” Games!  The Drivers Club has three dates each winter, one each in January, February and March, where you can get all snow-crazy in your cars and ours. Who’s the fastest on the snow?

These are Family Affairs, so please bring the husband, wife or Significant Other, plus the kids and their sleds and toboggans (let’s try the Downhill!). We’ll have a big bonfire, lots of hot cocoa, and a noontime hot lunch in the Infield Chalet. We won't be surprised if a snowball fight breaks out, either…
